An annual plant growing up to two feet high with stems ranging from light green to reddish brown. Prefers full sun and dry or sandy soils or limestone. Leaves collapse when touched. Flowers bloom summer to mid-fall, are irregularly shaped, and are about one inch across. Attractive to bees and butterflies.
